Tour de Helsinki, TdH, is a 140 km leisure bike ride around the capital region of Helsinki. It was started in 2005 by a group of Helsinki University cycling enthusiasts. In 2007 TdH was opened to the public for the first time, and was a great success. The start and finish of TdH are at the legendary Olympic Velodrome close to Helsinki center. The route takes the riders on the most popular and beautiful cycling roads in Espoo, Nurmijärvi, Tuusula, Sipoo and Vantaa. Road bikes are recommended as the roads are asphalt. You can choose your speed as there will be groups for average speeds from 20 to 32 km/h. The fittest ones can go as fast as they can!
